Besides switching to Efficient Lighting here are a few things you can do to help the environment while you're at work:

• Purchase appliances and office equipment with the Energy Star Label; old refrigerators, for example, use up to 50% more electricity than newer models.
• Switch to electronic statements and bills to save paper. Put an end to spam faxes.
• Use a ceramic coffee mug instead of a disposable cup.
• Climb the stairs instead of using the elevator.
• For commuters, keep your tires inflated properly to improve gas mileage by more than 3 percent. Every gallon of gas saved keeps 20 pounds of carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere.
